In order to provide the best selection of classes to exchange students, deadlines are non-negotiable.
Creating your NMSU Application Account
You will complete your application through our website. To create a new application account, click here and follow the steps below.
Step 1. Select “I do not have login credentials to this site”
Step 2. Select “I am a non-US applicant interested in the following program:” and select “New Mexico State University Incoming Exchange” from the drop down menu.
Step 3. Fill out the form provided. Under Partner Institution, select your home university. ISEP Students please select “ISEP”. Do not select your home university. CONAHEC Students please select “CONAHEC”. Do not select your home university.
Step 4. Follow the instructions in your email to login to your account.
Applying for Exchange
Once you login to your account, you will see a page that looks like this:
Click on “New Mexico State University Incoming Exchange” to open your application. Your application will look like this:
First, read the application instructions. The instructions in the photos on this page are not the same. Read them on your application. Then complete the Exchange Student Nomination Form under Application Questionnaires.
Next, you will return to the page displayed above. On the left side is a menu called Attached Documents. If you click “-select document type-” you can see the required documents for your application. Once you have uploaded all the required documents, you will have completed your application.
Once you have been accepted, read the Learning Content, which includes:
1. Information regarding your student visa
2. Information on how to complete the online NMSU Application
3. NMSU Housing Application
4. Information regarding student health insurance
5. Information regarding your Student ID Number and Course Registration
6. Information regarding our Student Ambassador Program
7. Information pertaining to arrival and orientation
8. Information pertaining to the mandatory Tuberculosis Test
In addition to the information contained within the Exchange Student Acceptance Packet, you will also be working closely with our International Education Advisor, Kari, in preparation for your semester or year at NMSU.
